I want to thank everyone who volunteered, donated and participated in the 1st Annual Each Beat Matters Charity Golf Tournament on 5/5/23! It was a great time despite the weather. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life. Thank you all so much for your generosity and support! Special thanks to the Dan Reed band who donated their time to play at the event! Extra special thank you to my children who surprised me by coming home from Texas!! Best day!
The week with my children was wonderful. Brenna was able to spend time with her dog too. Monday David, Corey and myself went to the camper to get the water and the fridge working. When we got home Brenna had made dinner for us. A delicious lasagna! Surprise!
Tuesday we all stayed home and enjoyed the weather on our deck. We made homemade pizza in the outdoor pizza oven. My mother, Lauren, Lucia and Elizabeth joined us. Corey was the pizza chef and he did a great job! It was so fun having the family together! I was overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude, it felt surreal. I love family time. We played Farkle in the evening outside because the weather was so awesome.
Wednesday Brenna went back to Texas and Corey went to spend some time with his father. I wished she could stay longer but I understand she has responsibilities in Texas.
Thursday evening David , Molly and I took Corey to a couple of Breweries. Corey was scheduled to fly out on Friday morning at 6am so it was an early but fun night. I kept telling him that I missed him already because I knew he would be gone when I woke up. Friday morning I woke up and he was still here. His flight had been canceled and he rescheduled it to Saturday evening. I was so excited I got another 2 days to spend with him! Friday night we went camping. There is nothing more relaxing then camping even when there is work to do. Corey is always so helpful. He assisted David with opening up our pop up camper or better known as our “guest suite”. We had a really great time and then Corey had to leave for the airport. I honestly can not wait to see them again. It sounds like a busy week but my husband and adult children were very conscientious of how I was feeling and encouraged me to rest when I needed to. I didn’t want to miss a minute with them but I also knew that I had to take care for myself so I did whenever it was necessary. I feel so supported and loved. Every day is a blessing.
