Wonderful Time of Year

It’s the holidays! The most wonderful time of the year!

I’m still feeling the same and my feet and ankle pain is not improving. I had an appointment with my Transplant team on November 6th. I had an echocardiogram and a right heart cath with biopsy.

My echo was stable and my biopsy was negative- no rejection!!!! Great news!!! We discussed my continued side effects from the Tacrolimus so they decided to switch me to cyclosporine. A different anti rejection medication. I’ve been taking it for 2 weeks now and I don’t feel any different but I’m not giving up on it yet.

It’s been kinda crazy around here. My mother fell and broke her hip and needed surgery about 2 weeks ago. Her blood pressure tanked and she passed out. When she got to the ER her blood pressure was 68/53. It was all pretty scary. She is doing well now at home. She gets around with a walker and has occupational therapy and physical therapy coming to the house. She is improving everyday. She has so much determination it’s so encouraging. She’s awesome!

We are spending Christmas in South Carolina with Kayln & Steve at their new home. I’m so excited! I miss them so much! Molly is flying in on Christmas Day! It’s going to be so fun.

On Friday December 6th I received a letter from social security informing me that I have been approved. This is very good news- not that I’m disabled but that I’m approved because there is no way I would be able to work at this juncture of my journey.

I keep on going, to get through this beautiful life with my beautiful new heart!

Each 💔 Beat Matters

Merry Christmas !!!
