Coolest Cardiac Rehab Crew

Monday I reached a milestone in my heart transplant journey . I graduated from cardiac rehabilitation! It is an exercise program for people who have had heart surgery. I really enjoyed these exercise sessions. The staff was incredibly kind and caring. They are such a great team and I miss them all already. They are also extremely generous. The whole staff ordered sweatshirts and they also collectively sponsored a hole at the upcoming charity golf tournament. I'm thinking about returning for Phase 3 where I can continue to exercise and use their equipment for $40 per month. I'm already very comfortable with the crew. I will wait until May to decide. I also met my friend Kelly at cardiac rehab which I feel so fortunate to have her as a confidant. She had her transplant a year before me. We understand what each other is going through. Thank you Cardiac Rehab!

Time with family and friends is so important and therapeutic for me. It helps me to take my mind off of the ailments that I'm experiencing. Often times my head is filled with thoughts that are just circling around and I become obsessed and overwhelmed which causes me to grow extremely anxious usually resulting in a panic attack. My heart health is scary but so is my anxiety. I'm trying to learn coping skills through my therapy sessions. My therapist ordered me to spend more time with friends and family. Recently I've been lucky enough to enjoy visiting with my cousins and friends. My cousin Alexis was visiting from Nashville and we all went to my Auntie Marty's house. It was great catching up with everyone! I've also had lunch dates with my friends and family. Good company with great laughs. I'm very blessed. I'm looking forward to more and more.

There are only a few more weeks until the Each Beat Matters Charity Golf Tournament! We have sold out on golfing which is really exciting!
