New heart, new year!

David was on vacation this week and thankfully I had a few good days and we were able to enjoy some time together. I would have felt so bad if I was a burden to him while he had some time off from work. He likes to be productive and has a tough time just sitting around so I always feel a little guilty when I'm not strong enough to do much. He is, of course, always understanding. I love him for all that he is ❤️

Tuesday Elizabeth took me for my blood work and Wednesday I had cardiac rehab. My labs were all good and the heart transplant team told me that I could repeat my labs in 2 weeks also the nurse at cardiac rehab told me that they are seeing an improvement since I first began. This is all fantastic news. I'm still experiencing the same symptoms as usual sometimes worse than other times but I'm pushing through. The heart transplant team has ordered a cardiopulmonary stress test which I will have in Boston on Wednesday. I'm very anxious about this study most likely because my results were critical the last time I performed it. Fingers crossed I do much better this time with a stronger heart!!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year's Eve!
