Just an ordinary Saturday night…

Well, that is how it started. David and I went to dinner and then we watched a movie with Molly. ( she is my youngest bonus daughter) I was feeling pretty tired so I went to bed around 10pm. David took our dog Bella for a walk and then came to bed. We were both dozing off when my phone rang. 10:44pm. It was a Toledo Ohio number- who the hell could this be. I answered the phone and the woman on the other line said" Hi, I'm looking for Kelly. I responded, this is Kelly. She introduced herself and said "we potentially have a heart for you and we need you to be at the hospital for 9am !" My broken heart sank into my stomach! My husband was squeezing my hand. The rest of the conversation was a blurr. After I hung up

David and I just held each other and cried. These were happy tears, these were terrified tears.

Once we contained ourselves we contacted our children and close family to share the news. This is all just surreal!!!

David and I are on the road to Boston now this is the probably quietest car ride we have ever taken. If you know David, he is not a quiet man. I am scared but so excited this is a miracle! I honestly wasn't sure if I would ever get this call. Grateful that's what we are...
