This week has been a rough one. I've had more down days than good days. I've not been feeling well. Fatigue, left rib pain, shaking, tremors, headache and nausea. I've been fighting with these symptoms all week.
Tuesday Elizabeth brought me to have my weekly labs drawn at Cooley Dickinson and then I had to stop at my Primary Care office. Afterwards we went home and I rested for the remainder of the day.
Wednesday the heart transplant team informed me that all my labs look good and my Tacrolimus level was 9.6 I was instructed to continue the current dose that I am prescribed. David, Myself, Elizabeth, and my stepmother went to an early dinner at Longhorn. It was lovely to spend a little time together.
Thursday was my last day as a Baystate Health employee. David brought me to clean out my office and collect my personal items. We had a lovely visit with Dr.Ganim she always makes me laugh. We also saw my friend Patti. It was nice to catch up with her in person. Cleaning out my office is a task that I wouldn't have been able to complete without David. I just do not have the strength or endurance. I was completely exhausted after and David actually did all the work. Goodbye Thoracic Surgery! I'm still mad and sad but my focus right now is on me and my fight to continue to recover. I'm looking forward to my next chapter somewhere down the road.
We went home where yet again I rested until it was time to go for my chest CT at Cooley Dickinson. I had a 5:30 appointment. The diagnostic test was smooth and quick The staff were nice as usual! Now the difficult part... waiting for the pending results!
