Today I'm feeling a little better than I have been and my symptoms were tolerable most of the day until the evening when I became very nauseous. I'm also still exhausted but I'm sure it's to expected after a major surgery like mine.
My lab results came back today and everything looks good, except that my magnesium is low, this could account for why I haven't been feeling well for the past two weeks. The team will be starting me on a magnesium oxide supplement. My Tacrolimus level is a little low and my dosage is being increased. I am anticipating my symptoms to increase with this change but I'm hoping they don't.
There are a lot of ups and downs on this heart transplant recovery journey. It's like being on a roller coaster. I often feel guilty when I'm not feeling well. I feel like I'm holding people back because I can't do all the things that I used to but this is a process that needs to be taken with baby steps. I will continue to push through and take care of my special new heart. I have so much life to look forward to living!
The calendar raffle drawings are going well. David is doing a great job with the videos! My friends and family sold so many tickets. Everyone is so generous and supportive!
