This week has been pretty good. We decorated the house this weekend. It looks warm and festive in our home. I had Cardiac Rehab on Monday and Wednesday. I did well and tolerated my sessions. I am able to do the treadmill, recumbent bike and Nustep at about 7 minutes each with resting in between equipment. I was even able to go shopping a couple times this week. I call that progress. Unfortunately, I probably did too much because today I'm not feeling great so I'm going to try to relax all day.
While I was at Cardiac rehab on Monday I was introduced to a woman who had her heart transplant in July of 2022 so she is about a year and a half out from her surgery. We talked for a bit and she was very encouraging as well as validating because she spoke of the same physical symptoms and emotional issues that I'm dealing with. I could have talked to her all day long. She said that her biggest piece of advice that she can give me is to listen to my body and nap when I feel that I should. She said the naps were essential in her recovery and pushing yourself isn't worth it. This advice was so confirming for me because I really feel that I have been listening to my body and napping or resting when I need to. She has already graduated from Cardiac rehabilitation but she is brings her father. It was such a pleasure meeting her and I look forward to seeing her again. The most amazing part of our connection is that her name is Kelly!!!!
Tomorrow is Elizabeth's birthday! What a miracle that I get to celebrate with her!!! Happy Birthday to the best sister ever!
Next week will be a busy week for me Cardiac Rehab, labs, a Dr. appointment and off to Boston on Wednesday for my first Iron infusion! As always I'm hoping everything goes well.

I am so glad you were able to talk to someone who has gone through what you’re going through. In the near future you will be the spokes person to someone going through it. Now that it is the holiday season please don’t overdue. Get your rest, it’s what you need to heal. I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and wish your sister a Happy Birthday for me.
