Elizabeth and I headed to Boston at 8am for a 10:30 appointment. There was some traffic along the way but Elizabeth navigated it well. We arrived at
10: 20am, just in time for my scheduled visit.
The appointment went well. The suture was removed from my incision and the site looks good. My blood pressure has been elevated lately so I was prescribed amlodipine to treat my hypertension. I explained that I'm still not sleeping well so they very graciously prescribed a sleeping medication. Hopefully a good nights sleep will help me to feel a little better. Sleep deprivation really takes a toll on you physically and mentally.
I was cleared to drive because my sternum is healing well and I'm not taking narcotic pain medication anymore but honestly I don't feel comfortable getting behind the wheel with the way my medications make me feel. I'm going to wait until I'm less shaky, weak and foggy. I still feel like I'm drugged up all the time. My Nurse Practitioner Becky agreed with me which was reassuring.
I had labs drawn and will await the results and call from the team for instructions on my medication adjustments.
The ride home was very smooth and it only took us one and a half hours. There was some singing involved on this trip. 🎤
I had to take my morning meds later because of the blood draw and I haven't felt well all afternoon and evening. I'm just laying low for the rest of the day.
I hope everyone has a harmonious night

Always so happy to see positive posts❤️
So glad to hear all went well. And you both had a good trip home, singing makes the time seem a lot shorter and makes you feel good. Just rest tomorrow and recoup. Have a good night.❤️
Love you both! Praying for great result! ❤️🥰
