Boston here we come

I haven't been posting as much because I feel like there is not as much to document every day. I felt pretty good at the end of the week and I was able to do some cooking. I made a tomato soup with chicken on Thursday and a chili on Friday. Having the energy to cook is a huge accomplishment. I was extremely excited. This weekend was a quiet one. We went to the camper on Friday evening. Elizabeth came on Saturday morning. The weather was dry but it was very windy on Friday and Saturday. David and I took Bells for a walk Saturday morning. I was feeling okay on Friday and Saturday morning but in the afternoon I just felt horrible. I developed a headache and nausea with extreme fatigue. I rested for the entire afternoon and evening. Thankfully my recliner at the camper is very comfortable and David and Elizabeth are extremely understanding when I'm not feeling well. I continued to rest on Sunday.

Today we are heading to Boston. We are going to stay overnight because my appointment is at 8am and we don't want to have to wake up at the crack of dawn and risk getting stuck in traffic tomorrow morning. As usual I am anxious about tomorrow. The right cardiac catheterization and biopsy procedure is pretty straightforward but with any operation there are risks. As a nurse I am very aware of the possibility of complications so I always go into the procedure with positive thoughts and a little anxiety. I also worry about the results and waiting is difficult. I nervously await the call from the heart transplant team on Wednesday with my fingers crossed that the pathology will reveal no rejection. This results always reassures me that my heart is happy and I am delighted and grateful!

Wishing everyone a delightful day!

The Order link for 25 years of work in the mine was a watch – this watch. He was one of only four other employees from the mine to receive a watch on the day he did. The Minister of Mining Labor of Poland presented him with it on stage, which was a link very big deal. And his wife, Zofia link (we call her Zosia), was in the audience to witness it.

He may be retired, link but J.J. Redick is as popular as ever from his podcast The Old Man And The Three to his appearances on ESPN's much-loved program First Take. Way back in 2013, we sat down link with link the former three-point sharp shooter to talk watches, and his collection didn't disappoint.

So let's get to the watch again. You'll notice I couldn't eliminate the reflection in the 44.5mm dial. First, the watch had to return to "Rook" link as he link met with fans and went link around EAA speaking with attendees about the Polars Dawn mission, so I had to work quickly. But also, apparently, it's tough to get perfect light mid-day on the taxiway of one of the busiest airports in the world. Hopefully, I did the watch some semblance of justice.
