2nd Biopsy…

We started on the road to Boston at 6am this morning. We didn't arrive until 8:30am. It was a long ride and I was pretty anxious about my appointment. I was scheduled to see the medical team at 9am. My exam went well and they are happy with my progress. We discussed my medications and side effects. I explained all of them in detail... abdominal distention, tremors, shaking, weakness, nausea, fatigue and my concern that I am experiencing increased anxiety. The PA Rebecca explained to me that these are all common side effects and will improve as the medication dosages are decreased. She also advised me to space out my medications and advised me on which ones could be taken earlier or later. She was very helpful and informative. After the clinic visit we headed to the cardiac cath lab where I had my right heart catheterization and biopsy of my heart. The procedure went smoothly and took about 2 hours total. My wedge pressures in my heart were a little high indicating that I have some extra fluid so I was instructed to take a diuretic ( water pill ) tomorrow and continue to weigh myself daily. The pathology from the biopsy should be back in a day or two. Fingers crossed it shows less rejection ❤️

We weren't done though. I had to go for a chest X-ray before we could leave. I had one last week and they wanted to see if there was improvement. Results pending...

We were headed back home around 1:30pm and arrived at 3pm. We were both so exhausted that we took a nap. I'm still pretty tired and resting is all I want to do.

Wishing everyone a restful evening
